Everton captain and versatile midfielder Phil Neville has become a coach at the England under 21 level, thus forming the basis and foundation for his future career in management.
The 35-year-old is coming to the end of his career in football as a player.

Everton midfielder Landon Donovan has said that he would be very much interested in the prospect of joining the Merseyside club on a permanent basis.
Landon Donovan is currently in his second loan spell with Everton. He is on loan from MLS side LA Galaxy.

All the excitement and the elation of the FA cup could come to an end if Bolton Wanderers are knocked out in the third round of the FA Cup.
The manager, Owen Coyle, was confident and sure that with their current performance levels, they should have been able to snatch a win, but they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Macclesfield.

A David Silva goal was enough to fire Manchester City back to the top of the Premier League.
The Sky Blues had been sitting in second place after Manchester United defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-0 in the lunchtime kick off, but by the time the day’s action was over a 1-0 City win over Arsenal was enough to put them back in pole position.

Whilst everybody else is complaining at how difficult it is to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, Alan Pardew has a smile on his face - his team are above all other challengers for the title, and remain the only unbeaten team after 10 matches in the Premier League!
Arsenal were tonked 8-2 before turning it around with a 5-3 victory over Chelsea recently, Liverpool have struggled to score goals, and Tottenham wobbled viciously at the ery start of the season, all of which has allowed Newcastle to stake their claim for the third spot in the table.

Curtis Davies has completed his switch from Aston Villa to Birmingham City. The 25-year-old former England Under-21 international had looked set to rejoin Leicester for a second loan spell.
Villa manager Gerard Houllier said: "He had the option to go to Leicester or to Birmingham and opted for Birmingham."
The proposed move the other way for midfielder Sebastian Larsson will not now happen.

Mexico striker Javier Hernandez has sealed his move to Manchester United from Chivas de Guadalajara after the Home Office granted a work permit. (Had his permit not gone through, he was rumoured have lined up a move to Barca to play alongside Lionel Messi.)
The 22-year-old, who is set to travel with his country to this summer's World Cup finals, had agreed terms with United and passed a medical in April.
United have not disclosed the fee for Hernandez, but he is believed to have cost somewhere in the region of £6-8m.

A TOP-LEVEL meeting has failed to deliver progress on new stadia for Liverpool and Everton football clubs.
LFC chief executive Christian Purslow and his Everton counterpart Robert Elstone sat down with city council officials and Liverpool University yesterday, at the instigation of the university. Liverpool FC made clear the club is committed to building a new £400m ground, despite its problems raising finance to fund the 60,000-seater.
