Sunderland have agreed to sell its goalie Jordan Pickford to Everton FC in a reported 30 million, the BBC reports. The player is on international duty with the Under 21 side as they prepare for the European Championship. Pickford is expected at Goodison Park where he would do his medicals and complete other details after the assignment.
The 23-year old has broken the British record with the deal. His 29 Premier League games last season was enough to convince Everton that he is worthy of the tag. He joined Sunderland academy back in 2010 and played in loan spells at several clubs.

Ronald Koeman has admitted that Everton were far from the best in the match against West Ham during the weekend.
The club may have continued their unbeaten run to 4 games, but they could only secure a goalless draw with the London outfit. It was yet another poor performance from the team in an away match. Everton have managed just one win in the last eight of the games. In contrast, they have managed seven consecutive victories at the Goodison Park to remain in the sixth place. Everton did not produce any conviction going forward and this allowed West Ham to keep a second clean sheet in the last three games.

He felt that a player of Lukaku’s quality would soon be playing in the Champions League and that it would be difficult for Everton to stop him from leaving the club. There are numerous transfer rumours surrounding the 23-year-old in the summer including a potential return to Chelsea. However, Everton resisted the urge to sell the player after a slapping a £75 million valuation which appeared to have done enough to scare away potential suitors.
