Everton manager Rafael Benitez has a lot of injuries to worry about as he prepares his team for the Premier League outing with bottom club Norwich City later this week and French international Lucas Digne is the latest player for him to worry about on the injury front after he was subbed off with an issue during the Carabao Cup third round meeting with English Championship side Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

Digne was the Everton skipper for the Carabao Cup clash with QPR and he even scored a goal before being subbed off for English defender Michael Keane with ten minutes left on the clock due to injury. On the injury, Everton boss Benitez revealed in his post-match reaction to the QPR game that the Frenchman would be assessed on Wednesday as he expressed optimism that the injury sustained by the player is not a serious one.

Benitez is already missing the services of several first team players and the potential loss of Digne would be a further blow for the Spaniard. For now, French national team left-back Digne is a doubt for the home game with Norwich City.
In the Carabao Cup clash with QPR, Benitez and Everton missed the influence of Digne who would have been a strong candidate to take a penalty during the shootout. Everton Academy graduate Tom Davies was the villain as he missed his spot kick to hand QPR an 8-7 win on penalties after the two teams had scored a total of four goals in regulation time.
Everton came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw at the home of QPR before they eventually lost the Carabao Cup third round tie on penalties. Charlie Austin scored the two goals for the hosts, while the abovementioned Digne and England international Andros Townsend scored the goals for the Toffees.
Everton first team players on the injury list at the moment include Seamus Coleman, Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford.
