HAMMERS IN £30M BID FOR BROJA

West Ham United are set to make a big bid for Albanian international Armando Broja who spent the latest Premier League season at Southampton on loan from Chelsea. The interest of the Hammers in Broja was confirmed by Sky Sports as it was revealed that the Europa League semifinalists are preparing to put in a bid of £30m for the player. West Ham United manager David Moyes wants to upgrade his squad this summer and Broja is a top transfer target.

A lot of teams are on the trail of Broja who impressed while he was on loan with the Saints as a Chelsea loanee. Apart from West Ham United, Premier League side Everton are also interested in the player who scored six goals in 32 Premier League appearances during the latest league season and nine goals in 38 appearances in all competitions. Everton manager Frank Lampard is a fan of the Chelsea striker. The Cobham academy graduate has been identified as a transfer target for the Toffees by Lampard.

Broja, 20, is expected to return to Chelsea this summer after his loan spell with the Saints. He's expected to be involved in pre-season at Chelsea, but his long-term future is in serious doubt. The new Chelsea owners are likely to cash in on him if he's not in the immediate plans of manager Thomas Tuchel.

Premier League teams are not the only ones keen on signing Broja. The Italian Serie A duo of Napoli and Atalanta also want to sign him as reported by popular media outlet Goal.

Everton manager Frank Lampard might need to sell one of his star players to fund a rebuild at the club in the wake of the financial issues associated with the club. One of his two major attackers namely Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be sold to fund a rebuild. To this effect, Broja could be a potential replacement for either of the two attackers.
