EVERTON LOANEE EXCUSED FROM ITALY DUTY
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) forward Moise Kean has been sent home from the Italy national team camp ahead of the start of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers in the European section. The Italian FA announced earlier on Wednesday that Moise Kean won't be a part of the qualifiers for Italy during the current international break after he was excused as a result of fatigue. Moise Kean has been in very good form for PSG this season since teaming up with the Champions League finalists at the start of this campaign.
The Italy national player is on a season-long loan at PSG from Everton . He has been in sensational form for the French capital club and that would be music to the ears of Everton officials as the player is expected to make his loan move to PSG permanent after impressing in his loan spell at the club. Moise Kean has scored 15 goals in 29 appearances for PSG since the start of his loan at the club from Premier League team Everton last summer.
He scored one of the goals for PSG in their 4-1 thrashing of Barcelona at the Nou Camp in the first leg of their last 16 clash in the Champions League. That away win was crucial as the two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the second leg at the Parc des Princes. To this effect, PSG were able to progress into the quarterfinals of the competition via a 5-2 aggregate victory. The reward for eliminating Barcelona at the round of 16 stage is a quarterfinal tie with holders Bayern Munich for PSG in what's the repeat of the Champions League final last season.
French international winger Kingsley Coman was the recipient of the only goal of the game as Bayern Munich won an impressive treble at the end of last season by beating PSG 1-0 in the Champions League final. His goal came in the second half of the encounter.
