LANDON INTERESTED IN EVERTON MOVE

Everton midfielder Landon Donovan has said that he would be very much interested in the prospect of joining the Merseyside club on a permanent basis.

Landon Donovan is currently in his second loan spell with Everton. He is on loan from MLS side LA Galaxy.

LA Galaxy have the likes of David Beckham on their books, and it will be interesting to see if they will allow Everton to sign Landon Donovan in the summer. Everton previously tried to sign the American International on a permanent basis, but could not agree terms with the club. The 30-year-old striker is regarded as one of the best players in the MLS, which clearly describes their unwillingness to part with the former captain.

The spell with Everton are certainly not new for Landon Donovan, who has spent time with various European clubs including the likes of Bayern Munich. However, it is only with Everton the American International has grown fond of. As a result, he has revealed that he would like to make his loan spell permanent in the summer.

The loan spell for the American International is not expected to be much longer, as he will be departing back to the United States in a few weeks time. Banking on him making a return to Goodison Park in the summer must be one of the best football bets.

“It would be hard to go to any other club now, so if anything were to happen, I imagine it would be here at Everton. My commitment is for two more years to the Galaxy and we’ll see what happens after this year but I would obviously welcome the opportunity to come back. I know for sure I’m going back to LA this year, but we’ll see,” Donovan told Reuters.

After the arrival of Landon Donovan, Everton have moved up to the 10th position in the table and are in with a shout for the Europa league places.
