CONOR HAS MORE TO COME

Versatile Preston North End player Conor McLaughlin has asserted that he still has plenty to learn from the game and that his best is yet to come.

The Northern Irish international is one of the most versatile players in the North End squad with the fans witnessing this season how he played in positions as varied as midfield, on the wing and in defense.

Having started out as a right back with the sole intent of bombarding the opposition defense with strong runs, McLaughlin stated that he incorporated the versatility into his game to get more chances of a regular first team place when he was a kid and that has done him plenty of good.

Speaking to the press before the practice session, McLaughlin jokingly added that the only positions he has not played for The Lilywhites this season is at attack and in goal but added that the way the season has been going, he might just end up there as well. However, Conor McLaughlin added that he did not mind where he was asked to play because there is nothing that he likes better than being on the pitch, playing football.

The 20 year old’s versatility has sparked rumors of a possible move to a bigger club, even in the English Premier League with some of the big guns and mid-table sides keen on securing his services but according to McLaughlin, he is very happy at North End at the moment and he has still plenty to learn about the game and jumping on board of a bigger club at this moment is something that he doesn’t want to do.

Whether Conor McLaughlin does move from Preston North End to a bigger club or not is another question, but he definitely is one player who we have not seen the last of, not nearly anyway.
